It is patent pending and intended for use under the supervision of a licensed clinician trained in this intervention method.

The ARKJ Wedge is designed for individuals with jaw tightness or limited mobility related to cancer treatment, surgery, or radiation. It should be used under the guidance of a licensed professional, such as a speech-language pathologist or physical therapist trained in head and neck rehabilitation.
It is not intended for unsupervised or self-directed use.

Each ARKJ Wedge is professionally fabricated using high-quality, medical-grade 3D printing materials that are durable, easy to clean, and designed for patient comfort.
While the specific formulation and production process are proprietary, each device is crafted with precision to ensure consistency, durability, and clinical safety.

Sizing is based on your maximum interincisal opening (MIO)—the distance between your upper and lower front teeth when your mouth is open as wide as comfortably possible.

Your clinician can measure your mouth opening using calipers or tongue depressors to determine your starting level.

Most patients progress gradually through wedge levels under supervision to ensure safe and effective improvement.

Yes. Do not use the ARKJ Wedge without medical clearance if you have:

• Osteoradionecrosis or active jaw infection
  
  
• Osteomyelitis of the jaw
  
  
• Mandibular or maxillary fracture
  
  
• Active, untreated cancer
  
  
• Fragile or compromised dentition
  
  
• A recent free flap reconstruction (requires ENT/surgical clearance)
  
  

If you have dental implants, screws, gum disease, or weakened teeth, check with your dental team before use.

Yes—but only after training and clearance by your clinician. Your therapist will guide you on proper placement, duration, and frequency of exercises and will monitor your pain and progress closely.

Pain should be assessed using a visual analog pain scale during therapy and home exercises.
There should be no clicking, popping, or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain while using the device. If pain or discomfort occurs, stop use immediately and contact your therapist.

No. The ARKJ Wedge is a single-patient-use item for hygiene and safety reasons and should not be shared.

Yes. You may need medical or dental clearance before use, especially if you have:

• Dental implants, screws, or gum disease (check with your dentist/oral surgeon)
